Hello All,
I have 6000 (Firmware 828P with Good Location ID).I tried to do the JTAG and used the jkeys 2.9.10 & 2.9.11
my 6000 IRD shutting on and off then staying off. It would not let me JTAG it--it would recognize as a 6000 IRD but no box keys or IRD number, flash number. Any attempt to reflash the EEPROM and TSOP would encounter DCUControl error
Pls. suggest me how I can fix it. I had one year old full backup

Do a search for BFL and you'll get the best shot at Jtagging your 6000.

Are you loading the eprom first then flashing? Remember to flash U45 to flash1 and U41 to flash2...tricky. Is you jtag properly grounded? Put the old flashes back on then start over...stablize that sucker first. And erase, erase...erase for best results.

I didn't reach to a point where I can do any eeprom or u41/u45 flashing. As soon as I start JTAG to do a backup before making/doing any flashing I started getting this-
Error reading from DCU Control Register
I am sure JTAG groubding is all fine as I have friend with similar 6000 and we could do full backup for his 6000 with same JTAG and every thing just same.
You suggesting to apply the backup I had from last year and then move on.?
