# PLEASE change the color scheme [Archive]

Who developed the color scheme of this site? A black backgrund on which dark blue text is use and yellow for links. It is a horrendous choice. It makes the test difficult if not impossible to read. Please at least use a white background so the users don't have to squint to read the forums or at least provide an alternate skin for the website so that the members don't go blind trying to read posts here. Also what happened to the easy to read opening page that was shown when one went to dssftp.com? It seems to have disappeared.

I'm kinda getting used to it..The pages load way faster anyone else have this happening aswell??

I could care less if the pages load faster or not if one can not read them and can not see the data entry boxes. Whomever designed this skin should of taken a course in website development and color schemes.

Well http://www.dssftp.com is there with the new skin. I had to upgrade the forum and we lost a lot of "hacks" which I will add back in the coming days, torrents being one of them. VBportal that I was using put a horrendous load on the server resulting in daily crashes.
I went to bed at 7am but today I will continue changing font colors and adding stuff. Until then poke around you will find stuff and if you can't stand it stay away :(

Mili, when I try to go to the forums, it only shows "recent posts". Is this one of the bugs you are working on?roland7813

There is a LINKS thing where you can select today's psots. I am still looking for the New posts thing if it is in 3.5.1 natively.

New post are under your welcome screen name. Thought it was terrible at first but after 10-15 minutes of looking around I can live with it. Color scheme makes no difference as long as you get the info you need.

i personally like the new darker color scheme....good job Mili......pefect for a pirate site and much easier on the eyes...the color gold against this background is a great match too
ask anyone that rock hounds around here in Wickenburg...lol

Is there any chance of also having the default VBulletin skin available at some time in the future for the end users with old eyes such as myself to use instead of this custom skin? Sorry for annoying you but before my original post, I tried to find a post regarding the website change from yesterday but could not see anything.

Maybe you should get a new monitor. It looks fine to me, I have no problem reading anything. A good monitor makes all the difference and with your old eyes probably a good investment.

Animated .gifs are restricted as Avatars, though.

I hope I'm not stuck with my current one. I was gonna change back to my screaming skull.

Guys I will try my best to strike a balance between making the forum lean and mean and yet provide bells and whistles. May change font color to white, will see. Definately the best investment you can make is to buy an LCD screen, the bigger the better. Your eyes will thank you for it.

I am also having to scroll left to right back & forth inorder to read a thread.This problem only appeared in the last couple days.Threads were easy to read then with no scrolling back & forth.I understand Mili is working on it and hope it will improve shortly.

You can afford a monitor that lets you use 1200 or better resoution and still read the words but you can't afford a $ 6 keyboard so you can take the caps lock off.
