Yesterday my jtag recognized my 2700 and allowed me to save the bins, but would not allow me to write a new bin, even with the lock turned off. It was suggested that I remove the lock and replace R259, so I decided to do so. But before touching anything, I decided to give the jtag one more try, and now it does not even recognize the ird. It does pick up a Device ID and the Device, but no ird info at all. And just error messages if I try to erase or write. This happened once yesterday but then it started working ok again, so I attributed it to a bad connection. But today I've tried numerous times and no success, it just won't recognize the ird. I've cleaned the contacts, looked inside for a loose connection, ensured a good ground of pin 1, what else do I need to try?

PS - Just tried to turn on the 2700 with the remote, and now the green light does not come on (green light was working earlier).

Thanks for any ideas!

How did you bring her back from the dead???
I've tried everything I can think of over and over again and nothing works.
Thanks:)

Saw your other post but still not working......when you say "select file /bin that you want , I assume that you r meaning the original tsop? and is the start address and length should be?

at my wits end.........any help would be great!!!
