I have a 4900 that i have switched the tsop and eeprom to the n2, i so far got a 2800 and 3100-010 receivers to work and now cannot get the 4900 up and running
the n2 files i used are also in the same zip as the other receivers n2 files, witch makes me think they should work as well
but everytime i flash the tsop and eeprom, then hook up to power, wait a few minutes, then hook the satelite feed up, the transponders just keep changing, and the progress bar stays at 0 out of 5
i did reflash to the oringal tsop and eeprom settings, and all worked okay with the signal, and was able to preview channel 500
i am adding the correct build code to the eeprom file (CCBA), it just does not make sense to me
does some one have a better tsop and epprom n2 file they would like to share, or does someone no what i am doing wrong
thanks

Try modding the original TSOP to the N2
There are directions how to do it.

ended up being this problem, for others having the same problem, try this fix
Check the last four digits in the first line of the build configuration, they should be 00 02 according to the recent post by dshwat 69 on the 4900. This apparently creates the sat search error if the numbers are otherwise.

I have the same problem. Are you saying that if I edit the TSOP in the right spot to make the build config 00 02, this will work?
What about the boot config / boot strap match. How would you accomplish this?
Any help would be very much apprciated. Feel free to PM me.

The 4900 is real fussy about flashes and you would do better using the original flash and mod it

1.) Take the original TSOP bin and open it with flashedit. Hit advanced in flashedit and copy down the build config AND build data (yes, the whole matrix).
2.) Open up the N2 TSOP bin for your particular receiver with flashedit and change the build config AND build data to the same as your original TSOP. Save the file.
3.) Open up the N2 eeprom bin with a hex editor/hex workshop and change build config to the same as the original TSOP bin from step 1. Save the file.
Now you can write the modified N2 TSOP from step 2, followed by the modified eeprom from step 3 and and thats all she wrote.

Follow Clowny instructions and you should be ok...Remember to save your old tsop first and compare after you change the info in flashedit...Good luck!
