I have a 301-013 single from a friend of my, i waned to do the Modification so that he can use it with his Atmega,
So i was preparing the Ird to do the mod. when i took the wire out that is bridging the cut trace from a earlier Vid mod, a part of the trace let loose from the mainboard, so i glued the trace and wire connection with hotglue to the main board, installed the rest of the Vidmod and Jtag,

Did the Modification, all worked fine, waned to start the ird, but it did noting at all, so it looks that the damaged trace is cosing the problem, when i put the receiver in the power with the Vidmod switch turned on the Ird is powering fine, the only thing I'll noticed that the resistor from the Vidmod is getting a little warm (using the zener option)
but for the rest all fine.

So my question is does it do harm to the Ird while the vidmod is switched on ?

Thanks in advance

Doesn't hurt the ird per se, but you don't want to leave the vid mod on while running the receiver normally. That pin on the chip is supposed to get 3V for normal operation. With the vid mod on it gets 12V.

But the problem is when i swith the VidMod off the screen goes green and then black and the led on the frond goes off too, and then it does not do anything anymore,
And till now it only runs with the VidMod switched on
