This applies to the DN or Bev version. I'm using the Bev as a example

Open up 3mTierPatch-0801-8c in your favorite text editor (notepad works)

You should have this:

We are intrested in this:

Bev old key:

Look around the forums for the new key and change it to this:

Make sure you only change the key eg
C2F3C83341D3E9385302D0AB1DAEBBC

and not any other info in the file.

Save the new file. Make sure it is saved with a .ep10 extention and not a .txt extention. nagraedit only recognizes the .ep10.

Redo your rom10 using the new 3mTierPatch-0801-8c-newkey.ep10 you just created.

Working on a 2700
I changed the idea key in the 3m wrote to card.
Did a flash
Using the file in Pengas 8c ( DN 834 ) did a Mod file
Reflashed ird w/new file
Still getting black screen

Got mine working, but no porn. :( I saw a show called Pokemon and thought it might be porn, but was just a damn cartoon. :D

I did not, just probably wrong file by using the 834 dish script file to make a modded one for Bev was wrong but I kept reading it was ok.
Anyway I got a modded 2700 Bev file and got receiver working, also the new RSA keys must have helped.

If I change the idea keys on the bev 3m to these should I get video? If I use the script below to alter the tsop is that one correct or could someone post the one I need for a 2700?

I don't know about the 2700, but the current key that you are trying to use is not correct now. It changed earlier.

Max,

To answer your question when they change the keys your tv stops getting video. Bev changed their keys so thats why folks are changing the idea keys. The program keymaster can be used to get the most current keys for bev and dish. Also it is posted in the sticky of this forum for dish and bev. That is how I understand it to be.

you are talking about the public keys key 0 key1 or aux0 aux1 for bev.
I thought this was for the encryption keys for the smart card. Thats what we did not know and only know for I fer idr's and boxkeys.

ok
they are now using 16 bit idea key instead of 8.
I am not sure if there are 2 of these keys but most likely there are.
Where is the location of the second idea key in the rom10x bin file??? Also why aren't they using both 16 bit hex keys????
