First I would like to say hello to everyone in this testing community. There are a lot of great minds in this site. I have learned so much . I am a true believer of reading the forums. I really don't like to be spoonfed. But I am lost on this issue. What I have is a 2700, and two 3900 that just say acquiring signal. When I do a check switch test it won't detect the switch. I have flased the tsop with many different bin, making sure the first two letters of the build config. match. No luck , same thing. Any help would be apprecitated.

IF you can find anything with more that 2 letters that match, the better. Your bets bet would be to find one with all that match. Do you have a read of your 2700 before the mods?
Its very easy to mod your existing tsop with the files posted.....and you know its compatible with your ird.

Have you run check switch with no sat cable connected?

Try a different switch and coax.

Had the same problem. Would not work on Bell, hooked to dish it worked and showed wrong sat, etc. Put back on Bev and works fine. Only takes a second. The other thing is to make sure to disable auto updates in the menus BEFORE you hook it to the satellite or it WILL update and crap out.

I had the same problem until I noticed something; when you open up the original TSOP image in FlashEdit, in the advanced settings, you need to copy everything in the 'Build Data' area. Then open the mod'd flash and replace the build data with the stuff pulled from the original.
Worked for me and a lotta other people on other sites, too.

most of everyones problems here do sound like flash issues. have you checked for power to the lnb from the ird? i believe the non dish pro irds switch between approx 13 to 18 volts do you have a back-up flash of the original tsop? i always save the flash before i start testing.. it has saved my sorry butt multiple times.. if you are using a flash from the tsop bank are you going into flashedit and entering your ird# and boxkeys? and then also fixing the crc? if you have multiple irds not recognizing a single switch you may just have a bad switch... i keep a known good lnb to verify that it's not a lnb hardware issue... in reality though.. most of the time when it comes to flashing these units it's just persistance that pays off... if you didn't back up your ird just keep trying ones from the bank.. eventually you'll find one it likes... good luck... i know it sucks... i have a 301.010 that i forgot to back up the tsop on..... probably flashed that sucker 50 times before i got it going again... and as always.. if you just don't feel like putting the effort into... older irds are pretty cheap..
Yea I don't have a back up because i used them before like last yearwhen all you done was put a program on them then program the atmega for that one ird. and some where along the way i guess i wiped the tsop from them {BUT} i did write the BXs. and the IRD nos. on the back of them i'm not sure that is helpfull or not and maybe thats my problam because i took a tsop from a bank and added my nos. to it. I also have trouble making a eeprom right i guess because after i make one when i go to put it on the ird i cann't find it but one of these days i'll get there
Sorry about that last post don't make much since does it, any way what I was trying to say is,yes I have had a 2700 ird hooked up on this same cable so i'm pretty sure the cable is ok matter of fact i diconnected the 2700 to connect the 3900. but as far as haveing a back up for the 3900s all i have is the IRD no. and the BOX KEYS plus the tsop letters.
i need help with the yellow card, anybody has instructions?
Sorry I never use them just the Atmega 128-18
