says mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies not regisrered or a file is missing or invalid.

what do I need to do?

Use ufp16 for windows 98 and me. Use xp atmel flasher for XP.More stable that way.

that is what I am getting the error from. running win 98se, I have Vbrun sp6 installed as well. have redownloaded a few times and still the same.

you need to get that .ocx file and put it in your system 32 and system folders and you will be good

I went to microsofts site but could not find it. any and all help would be great.

ok, I just check and there is a comctl.ocx file in my systems folder. the error says mscomctl.ocx is this the same file?

never mind, I got some help from another site. working great now.....
