I have several Dishplayers 7100 and 7200 and I know they cant be JTaged
I know that you can program the 7100/7200 Tsop by pulling them out and installing them in a 2700 unit then Jtag the 2700, program the TSop with the 7100/7200 Bin and then put it back in the 7100/7200.
First question
Since I don't have a 2700 unit available will this process work using a 3700??
Second question
What about the EEprom??, will I need to program it too?? if so how do I go about programming it??
I modded several units , 2700, 2800, 3700, 3800, 3900 and I always had to reprogram the EEprom on them
I know a Sombrero won't work because all it does is read the information but you can't write with it
Please only answer if you know for sure
