2800 Sat signal

I have done 2 2800 models and they both do not have any sat signal with a modded bin file I am using the 2700 on the download section and no luck I have even tried to mod my own bin and only previews any suggestion.....the card is programed fine iwerks in a 310-10.also need help with 301-13 it gets signal and all but no channels except previews any help would be appreciated.......

is the build config the 4 letter on the board tha cousing the rpoblem i have 2 2800 irds and on is CAJD and the other is CBFD they have signal with the old sofware

Try erasing a few more times and re-flash .

I had the same problem. Make sure you have the correct build config for the TSOP. If that's okay, I just did mine and it would work for a minute then back to searching for sat signal. When I unplug it nothing. If I hook it to my DIsh feed it would find sat again, then after a few minutes nothing. I ended up having to put a heatsink on the conextant SAT chip just inside the tin can from the sat decoupling section. I also took the lid off the tin can. Not sure which was acting up but it works now.

FYI, mine was COCD TSOP but now it says COCA.

My 3700 hung on acquiring sat signal for 20 minutes and then I adjusted the ribbon cable clip on the card for better contact and it worked.

does anybody have a tsop bin modded for build config CAJD and CBFD for 2800 units thanks

this is with rom 10 .....I finally got it to aquire signal but what it did was as if I had flashed sa5 then came in and now I have only previews any suggestions?

if you take your modded flash and open it withflash edit open it up and see if the last 4 of the first line of the build data is 01 02 if it is change it to 00 02 and then save it now you can write the new flash to your ird this is what I did to fix the problem you are having.....let me know

Anyone please help.. I took same steps for 2800 and 301-13.. here is what I did

1; read tsop and eep

2; open tsop and change box keys as well as build..check crc and apply 2800 fs. script for 301 used 301fs. script and save

3; open eep in notepad and change first 4 letters to match build

4; write new tsop and eep to box

insert card and no go.....am I doing something wrong? missing a step?
I have no prob with the cards or 3900 or 301-10 just 2800 and 301-13
I have also tried the already modded tsops of the download section and change buld but no go

you change build config or build data? ive had no problems with the 2700 or 2800's using the files I have the only change i had to make was an occasional build data mod from 0102 to 0020

pretty simple fix, if its a modded bin you download, then try a different one, that build does not sit well with your receiver.

make sure you have the most up to date tsop, and for way better results, patch your own tsop.

i had written a few of the modded bins to other receivers some like it some don't. no signal but sfter flashing with original software, i got signal back and then just update and modified, worked like a charm.

They work everytime when you mod your own (latest) tsop

I am trying to mod my own bin...
1 read tsop
2 in flashedit 2.0a Change box keys, ird id, check crc, I have even tried to change build config to match letters inside of box I don't think this is neccessary since it is the working original bin but Tried it anyways
and then change build data to 00 02 then applied script 2800 834p fs. and save
3 write new Mod to ird and still no go

my receiver keep rebooting and no sat signal

there mus be something I am doing wrong........

make sure you have the latest bin for the 2700/2800 834p i believe. Also make sure you are using the newest flashedit with the fs script.

open your latest bin
change ird and boxkeys to match the one in the readme.
check the fixcrc box and apply the correct fs script and save. now write that bin back to your ird.

a virgin eeprom would't hurt but not necessary if you are using your own tsop.
