how do i modify 3100 receiver tsop to work with rom 102 to rom 10b???

you need to jtag it with 3 files (2 flashes and 1 eeprom) then program a rom 10 to emulate rom10x

when you post this type of instructions could you please specify for which receiver(s) ie is this for the 301.10 etc... and could you please indicate where to find these files, photos would be great so we see how to jtag each specific receiver. I see a lot of repeat posts but these are not helpful to people who never jtaged an ird before.
As far as updating the tsop to the latest version when, how is this done???? since my 301.10 and rom 10 have not been in the stream since N1 went down. Also can we keep our old tiers on the rom 10, do we have a blocker or password protection??? Last thing I want to do is lock my Rom 10 up. I'd rather buy an AVR-X or Syndrome until I can protect my plastic.
Finally as far as jtagging I understand a parallel port is needed on the computer, now a days they are not putting these ports in for example my laptop does not have one. I understand they sell parallel USB converters can these be used with the jtag?? Anyone try this???
It's bad enough I've never jtagged my IRD, I am now forced to experiment with all the problems associated with usb parallel port converters.
Is it possible to buy a usb jtag???
Come'on guys if this hobby is going to last we need to have updated tools.
