Penga's any rom? [Archive] - Mili's Marauders

Hello does it matter what rom the card is for Penga's 101 or 102 fix? I have rom A21 and rom A23. I have only read of people with rom A16. Also I have a 301.010 and it is build EAEA do I have to flash it twice? Does it have to have the lastest firmware on it before I start jtaging it and erasing everything? Thanks:D :D

It has to be at revA16 to program it A21 & A23 are streamlocked or at least password locked
As for ird find a moded tsop for it in the download sec. & wright that along with the eeprom....change nothing in it. Try to find one with the same build EAEA
I assume you are talking about a rom 10 card locked at rev A21 ..........If not disreguard the above

Sorry, yes I mean rom10. Both of my rom10 A21 and rom 10 A23 are open. Can I use these or are the A16's only thing working. I have looked in the download section I can't seam to find any that say it is EAEA build. I will read some more. Just getting back into the programming thing. Thanks:D :D

just clean both cards they will then read a16
next jtag your 301 and save files
open flash edit and change box keys and ird to the ones in pegas zip 8b
correct the crc and make sure check sum is correct
save as peson dump & create a virgin eep file with your build. then get the file for 301-010 and flash it with the modded .fs flash use the beta flash edit prg
once you mod it save it as my modded bin next open jkeys erase flash one the flash2 then write the virgin eep back then write flash 2 modded bin back then write flash 1 back then watch tv. these instructions are in the read me file in the 8b zip

They will go to A16 after a one step clean.
Then the rom10 will turn into rom102 rev103 after applying the N2 patch.

Thanks for all that info. I now have a problem with Jkeys. I saved the memory with Jkeys and erased the full flash then I went to program the modded flashes that penga made and the first flash I did went fine but it did give me an error about the address, and the second flash stopped a 3%. So I had to stop Jkeys I then tried to reprogram and it now gives me these errors (LSI control unavaliable using slow programming). I tried to erase full again and it will not it gives me this error flash operation unexpectedly stopped(DQ6 stopped toggling) error detected erasing flash. I also tried to program the original bin back on and more errors. I have unplugged the receiver and tried a bunch of times. It is a 301.010 at EAEA build. The adress was at 1FE00000. I did not go into flash edit for anything. I think that was my problem. I think I fried my friends 301. Is there anything I can do now? I will have to read more carefully. Thanks:eek: :eek:

Does the power light come on when you plug it in?.. If not your gonna need to find the ressurection guide to fix your problem.

Use wall 2.2 with the 301.10 its tricky in that receiver, I had the same problem.
Also make sure your jtag cable is short less than 10 inches.
do flash2 first then flash 1 then eeprom
make sure you erase 3 times.
You may have to do flash2 a few times in wall 2.2 then finish the rest in jkeys.
301.10's some of them have a microprossesor made by LSI corporation these are a bitch to program but wall 2.2 works great do it in slow mode if it wants to. Use latest version of jkeys and wall.
wall latest version is 2.2 do not use 2.0 its too old.
I had 2 receivers with this problem and got both to work especially when I shortened the cable. 2,3 inches too long makes a huge difference. I do not know why.

Just want to throw my 2 cents in and thank maxheadroom for the instructions about using Wall 2.2 to get a receiver going. I have a 301-010 that the green light wouldn't come on at all. The LSI microprocessor was screwed. I fried this receiver almost 2 years ago and thanks to the help, I just got going and it is now operating flawlessly running 102 to rom 10 ! You have to keep at it. It did take me several erases and flashes before u23 & u22 would both take without errors. God I love this site !! Read, learn, and test. It doesn't get any better than this.
