atmega128

just got my atmega128, i am a newbie at this. do i have to pry the programmer and the card apart. as this would only make sense but when i tried they seem to be stuck together pretty well. how much force am i supposed to apply. :eek:

Not sure which kind you have but it sounds like the card plugs right into the header. Yes, you should be able to pull it apart.

use a pliers one with a flat tip bend near the etch mark (back and forth slowly )it should break away

Don't know about the one you have, mine was new and I had to snap the board apart.
There was a fine line on top and another on the bottom of the pc board at the programmer. a small bend on the board and it snapped into two pieces.
