New Firmware update for 27/2800 today

Dish sent new updates to there 27/2800 receivers today now at P851
I would not take update at this time, lets wait and see what its for......sounds like its for AVX and syndrome devices...jmo

I took one of my 27/2800 receivers and let it upgrade to 851P today and then tried to do a mod to tsop leaving it at 851P what happened was it worked for about 40mins then I got a message saying you are trying to use a card thats not compatible with your receiver ...... blah blah blah so I put 834p back and all is working again....Not sure whats in the update yet.But I have to beleive its not good for rom10-to102... jmo, I'll leave that to the experts to figure it out......

Did you try the 102_to_10 firmware patch with the stream update? And did you change the boxkey along with the ird#? just wondering, cause if not it shouldnt work at all. But my box has yet to take a update?

I think updates are good for Chuck but mostly bad for us. Chuck is probably not in the best mood right now, and is updating for the first time in many months for a reason only he knows.

I took the upgrade to 851p software and now I can't see t.v. Can somebody tell me how I can take that back and leave my receiver how it was, Jumbo 768 posted that he did the same thing Jumbo can you tell me how you did that or anybody else please, I will apreciated it, thank you.

Restore your backups of your TSOPS prior to taking the update.
