Have done 2 501 receivers with no problems. My brother brings me his and all I have now is Major headache! Jtaged it save tsops, then erased flash 1 then flash 2 no problem when it was time to write back It would write 40% then error msg. I used 0J1 to get it in the boot mode and since the error msg I cannot get it out of the boot mode so both red and green lights stay on all the time I did remove the 0J1 jumper but it still same way, It will not let me write to it no matter what I try card in card out HD connected HD disconnected, Jumper on jumper off...
Jtags are fine I have it soldered right on the board from the top. As matter of fact I just did a 508 with no problems so I can't figure this one out. It has 2 Tsops that are DT and don't need vid mod and it ran rom 10 fine when we were using N1 so unless someone has any more suggestions I am about ready to throw this threw the window.............I am open for suggestions ....

Thanks

when programing, you erase flash #1, exit out of flash programing and select flash 2 on the jkeys main page, go back to flash programing and erase and program flash #2. then exit out of flash programing and program eeprom. stream update.

never had a problem when I exit out of flash programing screen when going from flash 1 to 2. I have a guide I can send if you like

I have beaten the heck out of these receivers (501) and even wrote the TSOPs when it showes as an unknown unit. Leaving the receiver unplugged for couple of days seems to do the trick. Sometimes pulling the card in and out during erasing helped. Just my 2 cents.

I never had a receiver (except for a 2700) that has died on me.

Good Luck

NEVER leave the flash programming page with flash 2 blank, just asking for trouble if you do...
BEST way is erase flash 2, then flash 1 then program flash 2, then you can exit the programming page.
