Hi,
I have a 301-013 Single TSOP IRD. I am looking for the "patch" file to apply to the bin with FlashEdit-2.1beta3. I have looked in the file downloads but can't seem to find it. From looking at other threads on this forum, I assume that the name of the patch is "10to102-301-013-singletsop-sk-fix." Could someone point me to this file, or the correct one? Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers.

In case anyone having the same question comes back here to see if there is an answer, I am posting what I found...
1. The patch (10to102-301-013-singletsop-sk-fix.rar) is located in the files section under "EchosStar TSOP Bank." Date of the file (to make it easier to locate) is 2005-11-17 09:17:00.
2. Don't use FlashEdit-2.1beta3, use FlashEdit-2.1beta4. Apparently there is a crc problem with the prior one.
3. I have gotten CEMU to work with a 2 chip (Atmel and Max232) emulator in a single TSOP DP301-013 for about 30 minutes, then it dies with the Error message number 13. Read in another thread that it might be a problem with "not enough cpu" to keep the IRD subscribed, but I doubt this since I am using a P4 2.4 Ghz machine to run CEMU. I am still working on this problem and will post the solution here if I find it.
OR, if anyone happens to know the answer and wants to share it, feel free.
Cheers.

Opps, now I am getting a firmware update to my IRD. I started with P207, wondering if that is too old of a firmware, and is the source of my problem. Seems suspicious that I am getting an update. After the update is in place, I will report back. I am hoping I don't have to start over and reload my TSOPS. Isn't testing FUN and CHEAP, heheh.
Cheers.

Ok, firmware got updated to P208 and emulation failed, so I used jkey to get a copy of the new firmware, ran flashedit and applied the 208 script to it. Rewrote that to the TSOP and retried emulation. It started up right away. Now to see how long it lasts, will update in a while...
Cheers.

Uggghhh,
Emulation works for about 1 hour then the receiver starts rebooting (power cycling) over and over. If I stop CEMU and restart it I get another hour or so and the same thing ... Thank goodness I'm testing the DP301/Emulation thing and my real TV comes from Gentoo Linux/MythTV/Skystar2 setup. It's super stable, but is tricky setting up.
Cheers.
You should have started with the newest firmware in the beginning..... (that should be in the readme file)
You're almost there!
You've got plenty of CPU power. If it works ok for an hour, I'd try another 2-chip atmel flash.
That's what cured my similar problem.
Regards,
BGW

Where do you find FlashEdit-2.1beta4? It's not in the public file download area.
