Frustrated!!!!!

I j-taged my 301.010 receiver, erased both flashes 1 and 2 with j-keys 201. Went back to program now getting this j-keys error , "LSI control unavailable, using slow programming." So I click OK, then I get this error, "The flash codes returned are not recongnized by j-keys. mfg/device codes returned are 90/0 (Jelec) and 90/0 (flash file).
Has anyone encountered this problem. I tryed to do a full erase again i get the same error. Please help anyone. Thank you:confused:

Try programming flash2 with slow programming. After about 20 minutes and it finishes you should be able to program the flash1 and eprom normally.

I've gotten that problem many times.

Use the Wall version 2.0 if you continue to have problems.

There are plenty of 3100 resurection documents out there that give you the instructions.

For future referrence, do one flash at a time. Erase flash 1 then flash it. Erase flash 2 then flash it. That way if for some reason jkeys closes you can still gain access to the receiver.

wall works great, especially with your problem. Also to prevent the slow programming mode, always be sure you are gonna program right after you erase, especially with flash 2 which contains the LSI control which probably loads it to ram.

Always erase flash 2 first, Then program it.
Then erase flash 1 and re program it.

You will never have trouble this way

Erasing both is not a good idea, Some 13's are very hard to recover.

Requirements: Wall 2.0 and JKeys 2.0.1

1) Plug Jtag in, then IRD
2) Open Wall.
3) In the action menu erase Flash start location (1FC00000) (U23).
4) Unplug receiver then plug in again and restart Wall.
5) Select the U23 bin file you want on there. Start address (1FC00000), Length (1FCD5555).
6) In Action menu choose Program Flash. (It may say "Slow mode"; ignore)
7) You will eventually get an Error.
8) Close Wall and unplug IRD
9) Plug in IRD and the light should flash if done correctly. You have now woken up your IRD.
10) Open JKeys and erase Flash U23 full. WITHOUT unplugging the IRD, put your U23 software back on.
11) Close JKeys unplug receiver
12) Plug receiver in and start JKeys. It should read your BKeys, IRD # and the IRD light should blink again.
13) Now erase Flash U22 full. WITHOUT unplugging the IRD, put your U22 software back on.
14) Now close JKeys, unplug IRD, plug IRD back in. You should be fixed and the light on your IRD will stay ON.

I too have this problem, all i did was erase u23 and tried to program it, didn't even touch u22, and i screwed up 2 - 3100.10 one after another..

these direction and others i seen u say on step 5 the Length (1FCD5555). but in wall 2.0 and 2.2 in the drop down there only length 2000 and 1F000000, do u have to type this other length in?

another how too, says this

With 1FC00000 completely erased, Jtag still hooked up and Wall 2.0 still open make sure the base address is still set to 1FC00000. · Set Length (Hex) to 60000 and Address Offset to 0.

but even those direction there no drop down in wall with length of 6000..so do i type it in..

and which direction is right...

I resurrected my 301-010 receiver. I want to thank everyone that took the time to post. I am very greatful for all your help. I used Wall2.2, at first it didn't seem it was going to work then after a few tries it started erasing and i programmed my flashes back on as well as the eeprom. Now i am faced with a different problem.

This is how I programmed my card for Dish. I did a full clean of my rom10 and I openned pengas bin, applyed the 00001 patch, then I cut and past "allow 2 keys patch" , then 3m patch. They all tested and applyed without any errors. Wrote to card without any errors. I have also tried with and without changing the 3m patch blackout string to all F7's. I have also tryed without cutting and pasting "allow 2 keys patch". I still get black screen for all channels except for preview channels. Do I have to change the IDEA keys if so how do i do this and where do i change them, in which patch or the bin?:)
