I tried to Upload my Cemu file, but got an error. Anyways, it works for both Bell and Dish (I am testing Bell). I know it has a Dish bin file, but you just need to update the current IDEA key line d863 to the current Bell active key. Here are the instructions, so not sure what's wrong:

This guide is based on the following setup:

** Credits go to gotit for being a big help.

AVR6 / 8515 - 2700 IRD build CASD - DOS Cemu

1. Prepare TSOP & Eeprom
2. Prepare AVR
3. Run CEMU

1. Prepare TSOP & Eeprom
Requires:
Modded N2 TSOP ( Can be found on many different sites and here)
Flash Edit 2.1 ( found here )
Jkeys ( found here )
JTag ( purchase )

Mod yout TSOP according to your build config. You must find a Modded N2 TSOP that matches your build config, it must match the first 3 letters. For example, my build is CASD, and I found a TSOP with a build of CASA.

Use Flash Edit 2.1
a) Select receiver model (example, 2700/2800/3800)
From the script drop down menu, select your model ( For example: RSAnew-2700-2800-3700-834pONLY.fs )
c) From the File section, click on the 3 dots ( ... ) to select your modded N2 TSOP
d) Click open, than advanced
e) Verify all information is correct and check off fix CRC
f) click Apply Script and save as your new TSOP
g) Change the script to save virgin eeprom ( save_virgin_eeprom.fs )
h) Click on Apply Script, accept default of your build config

You now have a TSOP and eeprom to flash your receiver. I won't go into detail about flashing your receiver, you need a JTag and jkeys, and I believe it has a readme on how to use it. If you don't have a JTag, I'm sure one of the sponsors on the site sell them.

Once you apply the fixed TSOP, plug the receiver in for 2-3 minutes before connecting to the stream.

2. Prepare AVR
Requires:
JeepersDX ( found here )
PFG file for your receiver model ( N2_0001_IRD2PCM_checksumfixed )

a) Place pfg file in jeepersdx directory
cool.gif run jeepers
c) select your pfg file
d) Erase Flash/Eeprom
e) run Full Monty
f) You're done

3. Run CEMU
Requires: N2 CEMU for DOS ( BetaN2DCemu_dos )

a) run the executable
cool.gif extract files locally or to disk
c) place AVR in IRD
d) start CEMU
e) plug in IRD

* If you have DISH500, remember to run "Check Switch"
** You should be watching TV within 5 minutes, if you get error 019, unplug receiver and plug back in after 10 seconds.

Hope this helps.

The flashedit version that has to be used is one of the many beta versions floating around. Correct? Why would one need to use flashedit if one is already using a modded TSOP? Aren't modded TSOPs already to go and simply have to flashed to the receiver without having to use flashedit on them?

What about creating a modified TSOP from a backup copy that is at the correct firmware? I have yet to see any steps outlining that process especially for the 301.010s and the .FS file to be used. I am asking since I have tried modded TSOPs found elsewhere and found either they don't work or that they may be causing problems at least in my case.

Would like to be able to eliminate that as the source of the problems with the guide going red after 2 days using the DOS CEMU.

I'd also like someone to outline how to create a properly modded n2 tsop from an original n1 backup especially for a JVC dp301 (not sure if that's exactly the same as 301.010).

lol, both but neither will help you

look at the post date - dec 05. Things have changed since then and CEMU has been killed publically. Hope is there that maybe it will be an auxed version, maybe there will be a fix, maybe a full 102 emulation. none have surfaced. :(
