New Software For 2800 [Archive]

I see there is a modded file for new p851 software for the 2800 receivers. I looked at the new file in flash edit and compared to old modded file with p834 software.Do you guys think it will be a target soon ??? Should we be running this new modded tsop ??

If it is a target, it is only a matter of JTAGing it back to life in order to fix it.

#40 don't you think they are up to something thou with new software releases. I was sure I read a sticky by Mili talking about getting all subs updated then going after old software ??? Just wondering how bad they could hoop ird or card ?? One of my 2800 ask's just about every day to take update and the other has not yet.Both same build and running same modded tsop for 102to10 fix.

I have a 2800 subbed to internationals and it has yet to ask for the latest update, even my subbed 301.13 @ 2.08 has not nagged to update to 2.09.

I took the firmware update to P851 and use it with a N2 running the open 3M on it. Works fine. I do notice it seems to be very slow changing from one channel to another and there is a small time delay when trying to bring up the guide. Otherwise seems to work fine.

Have you noticed anything else that is unusual if you change channels with the number keys? Example, you are on channel 200 and punch in 300 or any other channel. Do you go directly to that channel with a delay as usual, or does the current channel freeze, 200, then audio pops in first on 300, then video?

If not, has anyone else who may read this post have had this happen using any IRD?

Just wondering if anyone eles took the update and is watching tv some say yes some say no :rolleyes:
