I have a dual LNB dish which receives 2 sats and outputs 2 cables. I have a second dish with a single LNB and it has 2 outputs. I bought an sw64 switch so that I could hook up the 3 sats to 3 dish receivers.
Can I use this system as is, or do I need more switches? In particular, the sw64 switch has 2 inputs coming in for each of 3 satellites. Can I just input 1 cable from each sat on the dual LNB or do I have to have 2? If so, can I somehow split the signal before going into the sw64?
Thanks in advance for help.

Sounds like you have a Twin LNB? You can not use a Twin with the SW64 switch. You need three dual LNB's and all six outlets from the three dual lnbs must be connected to the SW64.

So is there no way to use just use 1 feed from each LNB? Can the feed line be split?

No, it have to be installed as picture or it wont work for you. And it cant be split.

The SW64 is a legacy device, the Dish 500 LNB you have is a Pro series. THe SW64 needs an input for Odd Xponders, and One for Even Xponders for each Sat. Dish does make a 4 Recv'r switch for the Pro Series, but it would be cheaper to just replace the LNB with 2 Dual's. (legacy)

A couple of questions. Do you have any BEV/Dish receivers ? If so, what models ? The reason I ask, if you have Legacy BEV/Dish receivers, it would be better to change to Legacy LNBs.
If you don't have BEV/Dish receivers, or you have DishPro receivers, you can get a DP34 switch (and a DishPro LNB for your 3rd satellite), and it will work fine. The FTA receivers will see it as a DiSeqC switch, and DishPro receivers will see it fine.
I got a few DP34 switches on eBay for around $15 to $25 + shipping (but beware of a seller called 'topflightsatellite' - 1 of 2 DP34 from him were DOA, and no replies to my email - others had same problem)
You can use Legacy BEV/Dish receivers with DP34 also, but will require a DishPro adapter.

I checked on my dish and compared it to the info here. It appears I have a legacy dual aimed at 119 and 110 (basically two singles) and a dual aimed at 61.5. I have a Dish 500 legacy twin that I could swap out for the legacy dual, but from what I am reading, that won't help because they both have only two total outputs.
The ird's are a 6000 and a 508. I have 4 cables running into the home, and I would like to avoid having to run any more. Is there any way to split the 110 and 119 signals through the sw64? I've read a couple posts about a satellite splitter that can't be used with switches, but they didn't go into details. Thanks again for the hepl.

You can put the SW64 outside near the Dishes. Connect all six cables from the three dishes to the correct inputs on the SW64. Connect the four cables going into the house to the four outputs on the SW64. Make sure the cable with the power inserter is connected to the correct connector on the SW64. You can not split the Satellite signal.
Do you currently have two dual or two single LNB's on the Dish500?

I have two single LNB's with a Y connector on the 500 right now, but I also have the large head LNB that has two connectors out. Thanks for the advice on splitting. I've found some other posts that verify that you can't split the signal from the dual LNB.
