I have been flashing -013 receiver s up to P208 with out vid modding.......until tonight. Just erase and reflash, not worrying about the last sector, just left as is.
Well I erased the chip, which normally doesn't touch the locked sector, BUT IT DID ERASE IT, the full chip. But would not allow complete programming until it was vid modded....
Chip is a STM29W320DT, a common chip for a -013 single tsop receiver.
So, I wonder how many problems this may have created for some unwary people?
I mean total erasing w/o vid mod, then wondering why it errors out at 99% when rewriting.
I only have done a few reflashes, flash up to P208 from earlier versions, w/o vid mod, until now, all were successfully done.

Really not a problem, just found it strange that I could erase the WHOLE chip w/o vid modding, but it needed modded to reflash.

Here's a wierd problem I am having with the 013's and rom102 ex sub bin reacivated with v16 blocker. The receiver works fine, but reboots itself every half hour or so. Works fine without the blocker, but reboots with blocker. Same old 013 blocker issue we had with nagra one seems like to me.

Ok, I got my 013 single tsop working with the rom 102 and the v16 for 6000 blocker works without the rebooting problem.

Hey skinerd,
So what you are saying that you have erased and programed 301.13 receivers without vid-modding, and let the flash error out at 99%? And the receiver still works fine? I have a P209 that I want to try this on.
Also, I have been trying to read its TSOP with my buffered JTAG, but gets to about 15% and errors out saying "error reading from memory"
Thanks
