Proof of concept - I have it running now on a 301-13!
Now to see where the bits are for locals, time zone, etc.. then it's really gold.
hy old tex
I canīt get channels in 301-13 , just 500 and music channels
How did you do it? to see if I can spot what I'm doing wrong
thanks

I put the TSOP into Flashedit, edited the build config to match my receiver, then had it write a new eprom file itself... engaged the VID MOD to fully erase and reflash the TSOP and eprom, reset the VID MOD... and powered it up, let it sit to hunt for sat signal, then connected it up to the dish, had TV...
how do you do to the edited tsop write a new eprom itself? that's what I'm missing
Thanks a lot tex

It is not a bug
it is a legacy,
magic did that for two years.
if you run the program right away the progress bar will work the second time.
You may even be screwing things up by running task manager while programming
The INSTRUCTIONS clearly states not to run any other programs while programming.
and that is not a bug?, i got the same problem. I dont running any other programs while programmingi just let it pop even though it seem stuck, but when i insert card in the ird just black screen , would you explain what do you mean by
"if you run the program right away the progress bar will work the second time."

A legacy is a bug that has been around for a while and mokes no difference to the operation.
No running anything means no virus programs and such too.
If you program the card and the progress bar does not go all the way across then start over to verify and as soon as it is done you run it again it will go completley over, then start aagain and verify then do the EPROM.
Another legacy from his earlier programming bar.
It does not matter EXCEPT IF IT SHOWS A ERROR IN PROGRAMMING
If it shows a error while programming and corrects the eror DO NOT BELIEVE IT
RUN THE PROGRAM RIGHT AWAY AGAIN and there will be no errors.
I tried programming right away and it ask me for missing data, i put software key and ide keys again and is all the same stuck in 1, then after a while program completed windows pop, i put in avr-x in ird and just balck screen, norhing, nada. This is a big bug, a legacy if ypu want to call it but legacy disease

let me tell you solder job on this unit looks proffesional on the (3) I bought all you peeps that can't follow simple instructions should not be testing at all  subscibe do us all a favour .
As far as the software thing you just need to be sure to turn everything that is running in the background OFF if it starts to program but the completion bar fails to progress relax it is a LEGACY problem with the software go turn the kettle on have a stretch....................... when it says complete go watch TV
if you get black screen go read some more but STOP assuming that you bought a fix that is shit, end of the line ,no more reading etc.. take a deep breath and consider this once you figure it out you will be so pleased with yourself that you will welcome the next challenge that comes along and then you can help the next guy.:D

I don't mind the trouble, it's the lack of support that's disturbing.
you are right there is too many people, including me, with problems and little support or al least not the right one for us

I'll do it, you are talking base in reasoning not like sone other that bully in this site for giving mi opininon, I got atmega and rom 10 working but not avr-x, I'm following instructions, the true is the instructions for avr-x are so simple that there not seem to be something to miss so when it don`t work there are not many options,
davidasco- If your card is defective, return it. If it's operator error, then we've heard enough of your opinions already. So far I havn't read a single post of yours where you describe what problems your having or seen any effort on your part to resolve what ever the problem may be.

So you've never gotten your AVRX to work? At all?
You've got to see our side of it, too. It's rather difficult to diagnose every single error that can pop up in this hobby. We have no control over the end users soldering skills, reading comprehension or ability to take direction. We can only help in the ways open to us. I'ts clear that bad soldering, cold joints and open circuits cause 019, 020, and 357 errors. And that's just the hardware side of the ird.
I'll admit, there are so many different testing methods, charlie is probably overwhelmed in trying address each different one in the SI dept. But then it's a bit overwhelming to us to try to fix whatever happens along the way on our side of this 'hobby' as well. I have never programmed charlie plastic. I'd be lost and confused to even try.
We'll help all we can. With you centering on the product as the problem ain't helping us help you.
PM me with an amount and I'll counter offer for your AVRX. Remember though, you voided the warranty by soldering on it, so I'm taking a risk. And mili has cards on xmas discount.

LOL out of his 21 posts he used 9 of them to bitch in this thread.
davidasco, first of all welcome to Mili's house. This site is probably one of the best if you are looking for help. We can only help, if we have all of the information. One easy way is to post pictures of you setup. Also if it is a programming issue list you specs e.g. OS, service packs, hardware. Their are a lot of people on this site with knowledge in various different things, we all manage to solve our problems in the end.
My advice is enjoy your stay or clear off, but like I said you can stay and we will help.
