Here's my setup...
- PVR508 with internal 1-chip EMU
- running CEMU 10x on XP with the 102toROM10 dish bin
- flashed the 2313 with 101rev007...sys info shows the same...
- flashed the TSOP with a modded 102toROM10 bin
It that all right? I get all the channels in the guide, and all info and preview channels, but all the other channels are black. I ran a check switch...nothing...the sys info shows a CAM ID and I have the latest keys in the dish bin. Also, the channels start to desub after a few minutes.
I have read and read and read...also I have tried different dish bins and CEMUs and TSOP flashes with no luck. Any ideas?

I have same thing only I have tried 1 and 2 chip emu's
I think the keys need to be updated but nothing I have seen here works for me, I don;t even have any of the lines in my hex editor that everyone says are there,
Pretty stumped here

Yeah I'm stumped as well. I have the lines in the dish bin. And I've updated the keys. Nothing but free channels here.
I've even gone over my BK and IRD# with a fine tooth comb. Everything seems OK.
The only version of CEMU that will give me a CAM ID is the 10x one that runs in Windows with the 102toROM10 bin. I can't get any other version to give me anything. Well, at least with what I have now I can watch NASA...

Not that I read anywhere. If that's the case, I'd really like to know so I can move on and try some different stuff. I'd hate to do that now since I'm so close (I think).

you didnt mention anything about using a modified tsop. Have you dont that?
PoisonDrop
12-19-2005, 05:35 PM
Yup. The TSOP is modded for 102toROM10. It seems to be working, but all channels are black except preview, info, and NASA.

Yeah I see I have Nasa too
What we need to do is update the KEYS,
I have been asking how to do this for 2 days, and I think no one realizes what I am talking about
None of the methods mentioned inthese forums work for me, I don't even see the lines, i have heard the keys were in the dish.bin the rom10.bin even the eeprom
I have looked at all three in hex editor and don't see those 2 lines they mention anywhere
I assure you if we could edit the new keys in there we would be watchin TV!!!!
HELP PLZ!!

None works for you ...huh ?
That is b/c they left out some basic stuffs that YOU should know by now .....!!
Cemu is a derivative of rom102torom10 ...you edit/change/etc ....zip code/time zone/local channels/etc.....all through NAGRAEDIT ....
Open it up ...click on Eprom tab ...scroll down to the 2 lines that you know ...take it from there.
Don't forget to rename the file extention to .bin afterwards, since NE will give it a .bn10 ...and cemu won't see it ..

That is doubtful. I thought this was a 101 wouldn't changing it to a Rom 10 defeat the purpose?

The first thing I did before I posted a question was what you suggested and I selected Rom10 as you said, just guessing from experience, then I saw the ext wasn't right so I deleted dish and renamed the edited one, didn't even get previews then.
Now I may have had cockpit error. none of us are perfect, but I have built a few these since the mid 90's so I am pretty sure all the connections are right, it even works with a 1 chip emu. Which I have re-designed with a E dropping circuit to get the 12 down to 5 and perhaps make that one last a little longer. And it would be a lot easier for most folks to build.
I don't want to argue. I am wore out man, I will try that method one more time. If it works, I will come back and tell 'em all YOU ARE THE MAN :-)

OK...Here's an update. I got audio only on HBO-E. I flipped through a couple of other channels, but no go on those. Just the HBO-E channel gets audio only. I think I'm making some progress here...I'm going to try some different dish.bin's.
If you're interested...here's the combo I'm using...
- I modded my OWN TSOP. Exact same build as mine, with the FS patch in F/E.
- I used the 101rev007 flash on my 1 chip emu board
- I'm using BetaN2DCEMU-dos with the dish.bin that came with the CEMU 10x 102to ROM10 version. (That's the bin that ACTUALLY gave me a CAM ID and free channels/HBO audio)
So...am I headed in the right direction? Is it safe to say that my EMU/TSOP flashes are correct?

Good luck to you as well...
Hey...do you know anything about the dish.bin? I was just trying some different ones, and all the card bins I download don't give me a CAM iD, so I can't get past the 015 nag. The only one that gives me a CAM ID is the 102toROM10 bin that came with CEMU10x. How can I use a different bin and still get a CAM ID other that all zeros?

If you are saying that the channels de-sub after a few minutes then I suggest using a different flash for the one chip. I had the same problem and everyone told me my computer was not fast enough. I am using a P4 1.6 and that is plenty fast . Once I used a different one chip flash I was good to go.

If you think it is a keys problem open up the dish bin in nagraedit and apply the following as a patch (dishnet only)

Which flash did you use? I used the 101rev007 flash. The info screen shows 101rev007. Is that the correct flash if I'm trying to run 102toROM10?

Well it is not the keys,. BTW the only CEMU I have found only runs under windoze,
If I could find the CEMU for DOS, I think I would be in biz,
I used your patch for DN keys and it worked and changed them to the current ones, but all I am getting are previews and NASA.,
I would love to see that DOS version

PM me and I'll send it to you. It works great for me, but you have to use the ROM102toROM10 bin that comes with the windows version. Just use that bin with the DOS CEMU (use it for your dish.bin) and use the ROM10 bin and the cemu.ini file that comes with the DOS CEMU.
