The AVR-X man did not implement autoroll code yet as it seems Bell and Dish stopped rolling keys. That led him to believe that instead of rolling the keys that is nothing as most things roll them he expects the providers to XOR the video keys with 16 bytes of data and encrypt it in a very similar manner to the key hange. Ifthey do that and speed up the stream, goodbye FTA. The only thing that will work for Dish now is speeding up the stream to the point where FTA can't keep up. Key changes are useless because their cards are dumped. Real Nagra 2 cards have a DEDICATED crypto processor that does all this big math very quickly. Whereas the CPU in the FTA has to do it in assembly language. Assembly language is about 10 times slower then a dedicated cryptoprocessor. Whether they do it is anyone's guess. They never did it for Nagra 1 cards. (Actually, they only slightly increased the computations to wipe out the AVR, but Atmega, Magic, etc could still keep up)

So instead of implementing the autoroll he is now concentrating on optimising the code and make room (as the card's memory is limited) for the expected changes.
He sid if Dish starts the pointeless roll mania he will enable the autoroll as he has it completed and release that software.
