Try this -
Unplug the receiver turn off the computer.
Insert the EMU plug in the receiver.
Boot the computer. Don't pull the Emu and see if it comes in. It takes my 2700/2800 about 5 min.

Maybe you have some bent card socket bins from that fat AVR pc board.
It happens all the time!

Thanks. That is all done, with no result, got even another 3100 and a 4700 working on same set up but tried another 2700 with the same as my 2700. Any other idea anyone. Thanks

The problem lies in your TSOP ...even though you grab a matched mod tsop ....it's got a few things in there that does not match your build ....
try here ..
http://www.dssftp.com/forum/t52526-stuck-on-acquiring-satellite-signal-.html
In Flashedit ..the info under data config or build (something like that) of your OLD tsop....must match the mod tsop ..if not it'll just sit there acquiring signal ..

Make sure the last 2 bytes in the first line of your build data are 00 02.

you can try to unplug receiver and scratch the 2 prong of electric cord under your receiver and then retry I had to do that after the last key change . It must take some static out of receiver
