steps i documented from others on loading a rom10

I didn't get the files here but I see people referring to similar files so I'm sure they or their equivalent can be found or you already have them if you were running before the last key change.


Tools>Remove Card lock
Card>One Step Clean>full clean
Comm tab
Open D2C file>Test>Send D2C file
File>Open Card Image> Bin (102toRom10-0001-8b.BIN) (ROM 10) click OK
Patch tab>Open Patch>102toRom10-0001-8b.ep10
Test>Run
Open Patch>3mTierPatch-0001-8b.ep10
Test>run
Open Patch>Key Update.ep10
Change line to new key -delete old line paste this line $D863=AF0CBD48D8516DDCFE44D60CA36E5942
Test>Run
Eprom tab>Change Password-DODO line Position 06 (16 characters)
Card>write to card

- What's a D2C file? (Sorry for idiot question I never used one before...)

- Is the 102toRom10-0001-8b.ep10 a patch or a card image? In step 5 you open this file as a card image, then in step six apply this same file as a patch?
edit - I see now, one is a bin, one is a patch...

- How do you program your own tiers? Can you use any tier gen program and generate ROM 10 tiers? Or do they have to be different for N2?

- In the Key Update file, which lines are which keys?

*not sure on the tiers. I've only edited some lines (based on a reply here) from a tier file I got which gave me channel 600.

*My key update file had one line $D863=AF0CBD48D8516DDCFE44D60CA36E5942
but I've since added $D873=FBD9F2D9D6C9EF7A57AD322467426CE6 as well. Which gave me back a few HBO's and ESPN.

So now it looks like this:
$D863=AF0CBD48D8516DDCFE44D60CA36E5942
$D873=FBD9F2D9D6C9EF7A57AD322467426CE6

Hope that makes sense...
