I have two IRDs that are programed with the 102 to rom10 . both went black with the last key change. On is a 301 and the other is a 2800. I can get the 301 going but the 2800 still has a black screen. The guide works good. I took the card out of the 2800 with a black screen and put it in the 301 and it worked- got to be an IRD issue. this is the info on it;
SW- 834PC0DJ9
BOOTSTRAP-12ABC0DJ
DNA-SP102 REV 103
the card# and IRD# are correct.
Any ideas will be appreciated

I believe that JT is thinking that you guys are having problems with the AVR-X. That is why he suggested you go back to 1.04.

To fix the Rom 10 problem, it looks as if you will have to remod your receiver. If it updated, it will erase everything that has been done to it from before.

Um, yep. Sorry about that. Good catch there #40. I was thinking AVR-X, not rom10to102. Please ignore my earlier post. :eek::o

Hey guys, Sorry I have'nt replied to this for a while. There was a death in my family and have not messed with it much. I did get it back going today by reflashing with the penga modded bin I started with. Both are at 834P so I can't realy say why it stopped playing in the first place. I saved a copy of the flash before I erased it and will look at it in flash edit just for shit and grins-LOL. Thanks for all the responses.

My Dads 2800 seems to have suffered the same fate. But I set the update option to request first. I'm wondering if he or someone was fng around and turned it back on? From what I've read so far dave can update them regardless of the option.I wonder whats the diff b/w your 301 and the 2800 if they are both set to not download automatically?My 301.13 hasn't taken an update since it was modded in Dec. And it was even running with allow updates accidentally for about 3-4 weeks.I guess Dave can't update it without the vidmod either :DHey guys, Sorry I have'nt replied to this for a while. Hi To all.
Ok, I got both my 3900 and my 2800 working by using the panga/tommy chong fix. No need to mod receiver except you need to change the box key and ird number in flash edit. All others is done on the card. Note that the tear patch is out of date. Woody

ok, not sure what fix that is. Does it still require one to connect a jtag to the ird?Care to point us to the details of that fix or what we can search for?thnx
