View Full Version : IS A TSOP for a 2800 the same?
Here is my question I am an old Emulator quit last year after some problems just found out it is working again and I need to Flash my TSOP and Eeprom. My build is 2700 CASA and can only find a 2800 CASA. Will this work? What is really funny is the IRD is still hookedup to the TV and the computer but been turned off for about a year. Have not got into how much I will have to change but looking forward to the project. Any other input would be appreciated.

If it's a moded Tsop it should work.
You will need to get Cemu for N2.Put the new Boxkeys, IRD number & change com setting in the INI File.
You also need to put the latest Keys in the DISH.bin - I use NagraEdit4.1 to do the key change and to change the T.Z.

I just used a modded 2700-2800-3700-RSA-coda-11r-834p.bin in a 2800. Seems to work OK. Its in the files section under Rom10X. 75. 2005-11-05 21:31:00 irdr3.rar Files needed to Run a R102 on R10 Also included is the modded (2800 CODA) tsop. Seems that this IRD needs a switch 21 to work properly on both 110 and 119. Its quite different than 301's. I was bored and decided to play tonight, so give it a try.
Yes, The 2700 uses an analog switch (sw21) and the 301 uses a Digital switch (usually built in the LNB) I can tell this is going to be like learning how to emu all over again. Not to mention my longterm memory is almost gone. Bits and pieces of the process seem familiar but I am running into new terms ie. IDEA... Well maybe it will come back to me.
Thanks

I never did a 2800 before, so I did not know about the switch setup. I like 301's more than anything else. I may do a 4900 next because allot of people say that they can't seem to get them working very easy. I bought one for 7 bucks at the Salvation Army Store. Hang in their, this is not as bad as it looks. You will understand as you read and test different IRD's. At least you are a smart tester, you emulate
Seaboard,
Get the right TSOP for your model/build of IRD.
It also sounds like the one you have is an older version.
(Since check switch doesn't detect your dish equipment.)
Also, flash a virgin eeprom.
Keep pluggin' at it, I think the 2800 has to be the easiest IRD out there to emulate with.....

SW21 still works for all models as well incl. DP301.
