I FINALLY got my EMU setup going! It took almost a month, and the fix was almost childish, but it feels good to have it running strong. Here's what I had to do...
First of all, I started out by loading a p063 bin onto my 508 with the CEMU BK and IRD# to re-marry the HD. That worked great as soon as I learned how to make a virgin EEPROM of the bin.
Next, I loaded a p304 mod that I found on some site. No go. I tried another p304 modded bin. Nothing. And another, and another, and so on. I didn't get anywhere for awhile. Then I tried modding my own virgin p304 that I downloaded. Nothing still.
I was getting fed up. So, as a last resort (before throwing the box out the window), I took a p223 bin, loaded it, let the box update to p304, used the new, clean p304 bin, modded it myself, loaded it, and OMG! TV!
That was the secret. Some advice for anyone stuck with a working CEMU and hardware and nothing but a black screen. Don't use a downloaded bin. Mod your own. The FS files work, although I modded mine manually first. And remember to use a clean update that you got from the stream only. That will work.
Well good luck to all you other testers out there! Hope your setups turn out as good as mine! Time to watch some TV...
