Calin:

I have a Nov. 2004 Fortec ultra and am presently down. I tried the latest bin in the pubic downloads but it was no help.

Is there anyway to change key for N2 or should be looking for a new receiver ( coolsat or pansat ) .

Thanks for your help and thoughts
Happy new year all

Golden and Hew, personally I have been using those: 2.82t_api(NTSC)newKeys&bin and/or X-85BL_051215_256t_12H_clock_fix_NewKeys_api(N).bin. In my recievers and my friends...

Hew, try to find a better bin...

Golden, the 2.82t allow me to change the keys.

RE: 85BL_051215_256t_12h_clock_fix_newkeys_api(N).bin ...Is this an auto roll or a fix to allow manual entry only vs. dowloading future bins, or is it just a fix to get Dish Net back up and running?

Ok, go outside, take a deep breath, take a cofee or a cigarrete and go inside and try again. Which uploader are you using??? Are you using the right cable (straight thru)??? Are you sure your computer settings are the same with the ones in the uploader??? Are you sure the COM port that you computer is using is enabled??? With this bin you can wait until you get the ON on the display and you can use de BL uploader.

I have tried 3 uploader files. Blacklist , Fortec star v3.1 from the Fortec Website and another one. None seem to work. I am using a stright thru 9 pin serial connector at both ends of the cable. Maybe I am not wating long enogh. Canyou attach the correct file here again for me and I will give it another try. I appreciate your help and prompt response!
Thanks

I use this pansat bin 256t on my Ultra Lifetime 2005 model, and I use the pansat downloader. In the STB Model box, I have to type in "key:global" with no quotes.
Have a nice day and happy new year, folks!!!!

Thanks man so much. You are a big help. The guy who sold me the equipment has not been helping me or another guy I got involved.. He is too busy doing his own thing and does not support us in any way, so I am learning all this stuff from scratch. Done a lot of reading and gone to a lot of sites. Both receivers are Fortec ULT made in Nov 2004. I read and heard if you load certain Auto Roll files that they fry if not manufactured before August 2004. My buddy down loaded some file and now his machine is fried. I think he needs to “JTag it??” Thanks for your interest. I will follow your instructions to the tee if you tell me where or attach the file for me. Also , just got my computer out of the computer shop, it is running like a top, so I am sure my COMM Ports are fine. I am using a straight thru 9 pin serial connector at both ends of the cable.

Just tell me what to do and I will do it.

Thanks Again,
Ultra Newbie (UN)
