How to get receiver updated?

My receiver (301-010) has not been in the stream since end of N1. please tell me how I get it updated so that I can use the updated flash to mod?

Plug it in hit Menu, 6, 1, 2 and set it to update with permission. Shut it off and leave it hooked up to satellite.

I forgot to mention that it has N1 internal emlation in it now. Will the procedure work without a card?

Some say that it will. Some say that it won't. You will need a card to get into the Menu though.

Should be at P2.43 when updated.

Could erase a line in the flash and will update without a card.....which line on which flash I am not sure....someone please reply.

depends on the receiver
