There seems to be alot of debate about Fortec. Support for this product seems to be diminishing. I have checked out some other forums and others have suggested staying away from any Fortec product. I bought one and wish I hadn't. It's dead right now from a bad file and am working on a jtag to try to fix it. I had it working on Dish, but also wanted to get a few Bev channels and tried a file that killed it. I am looking at getting a Pansat but haven't found a local dealer. Files for FTA Receivers are available at a web site for Fortec Ultra, Pansats and Ariza, but no offsite links are allowed. The site may already be posted here somewhere. If the admins allow, I will post it.

I would advise you to go with Pansat 2700 or 3500. I would NEVER buy another Fortec as they have stopped keeping the support up for them and support is hard to come by and some bins will kill your fortec, I know I have one and it is sent off to be Jtaged and brought back to Life. I have a Fortec Lifetime Ultra and that is why fortec is so DAMN CHEAP . I also have 2 2700 Pansats and never had any trouble with them and ordering a pansat 3500 this week. PM me and I will give you a good Dealer to by from . This Dealer is very will trustedI have several family members and friends that have bought from this dealer including myself. Here I will post their web site and try and not make it a live link. Every time one of us have ordered we had it in 2 days

Future Support For Fortec Lifetime Ultra

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyone have any information on whether Fortec is going to offer any support in the near future for BEV or any new bins with outoroll features.

Seems to me that Fortec is falling behind very rapidly as it appears they are not offering any support for their products.

One should not have to clone their receiver to another brand to obtain support and risk using clone kill bins.

Fortec where is your support for N2.

I hate to say it bud, but there is no longer any support in North America by Al7bar for Fortec receivers. It may be time to consider getting a product that is supported and not having to rely on home grown bins. This is loved by some testers but for the average tv viewer it is not a good situation.
