what do i do when this comes up "flash update failed"?

I had that happen once only. Exit the program as after that message it is done trying to flash. Reflash with factory flash. When program says it is completed, reflash with correct N2 bin for your Receiver and wait until it completes before doing anything else. It should work. :D
