I have let the receiver set in the stream sometimes overnight and that has helped.

Thanks

Do you still have R79 grounded??

Another reply mentioned making sure R79 is no longer grounded....good point.

Often, not powering up (no green led), is a corrupt eeprom. Did you make and write a virgin eeprom to the unit? Make sure you have a compatible flash that you are writing also.

Hi there, Ihave the exact problem. Ihave wrote and rewrote the flash and eeprom on this ird several times. It will not turn on.When I jtag it, jkeys detects it and shows all correct imfo. I'm stumped here.

Have you checked the vidmod to see that it is writing to the protected areas

are you programming both the tsop and eeprom

are your builds correct

can some one let me know how to verify what is writtien in protected areas.
just to make sure v-mod wrtting is really writting to the protected areas.
I was writiing to both tsop and eeprom...
my cfg label inside the box is DALD
with HEX file read, what I observed is tsop file show DALA and eeprom show DALD ( from original file)
(at loaction 3fff40 in tsop and first line in eerom )
are they suppose to same ? in both (tsop and eeprm)

The way I verified was (after i write to tsop and eprom) read with jkeys and use flash edit .. advance window to very the correct ness)

looking for stop and eprom file with cfg DALD

Ok this might be your problem. If you can read jkeys OK and all seems fine then I think you might have a bad connection going to the spot. If you do have a bad connection at this point you would be able to read jkeys but the ird will not power up with vidmod off.:D :D Anyway that is the way I just tested it.

Try this and please post your results.

A 301-013 single tsop will work with ANY 301 single tsop file......I use DAHA tsop and DAHD eeprom for everything.

This is driving me crazy!! I read some where that the tsop chip AM29LV320DT does NOT require a vid-mod,my 301-013 DAPA 17BB has this chip in it,so I tried rewriting without vid-mod,eeprom no problems ,on the flash it said the space was not empty but I continued anyways. It wrote 100% no errors.Still no power.Oh yea I changed my location for trace fix from the spot to R62, checked I got 3.3 v. at SB35, the spot, and R62 so that should be OK. Can anyone confirm what I read about that tsop chip? If it does not require a vid-mod,what kind of damage could I have done by having about 11.5 VDC hooked up to it say overnight.Any ideas?

I have the same problem

Does anyone have a good image for this that they know is working
I can only find one in the downloads and have no way of making sure it is good

The tsop does need the voltage mod. I was thinking it did not early but that is not the case. It will read the tsop without vid mod ...but in order to erase and write to the last sector you need vid mod.

your irds are not dead, they're just sleeping where you put them, recheck your work and repair what you missed and all will be well, if you put them in the stream they'll either drown or continue to sleep but that WON'T fix them!!

Well,I for one have not been able to get my ird to power up yet .I have read of a lot of others here and other sites with the same problems, but I don't here of any solutions. Are you people getting these ird's going again? I can read and write what ever I want to this ird (and verify it ), but it won't turn on.

Did you have the card in the receiver when you streamed it? My 3100.010 was doing the same thing until I inserted the card. Just asking.
