It's a file in the 'Echostar Files' called 'resurrecting a 3100'.

On a side note flash the backup onto your TSOP.
Then stream update to P210 and turn off the lock
or update it with the newer type with the extra DQ7
connection.
P188 no longer works. It will avoid the nag but you
won't receive many of the channels. Even P189 no
longer receives all the channels. The new firmware
of P210 is required to properly receive all
the channels.
For the lock you now need the newer
type with the DQ7 connection.

I too had a real hard time when it first happened to me. Was getting pretty impatient. Keep at it, you'll get it eventually. Took me approx. 7-8 tries before success. But I was using a quad non-buffered. That was why I didn't get it on the first attempt. If you use a buffered jtag, you'll have a much easier time. BTW, you DID follow the instruction...ie: use Wall2.0 & jkeys etc...?

...what is buffered jtag? i am using R-W J-TAG-M
Thanks
What a buffered jtag does is uses power from your ird or battery that is closer to the proper voltage for your ird.... the simple jtag uses voltages that can be 5 volts or more which can give you bad reads or do damage to your tsop on the newer model irds (3100s 5100 ect) which run on 3.3 volts...so basically the buffered jtag converts and regulates the signals for a cleaner read / write.....maybe you can use a universal once or twice or 20 times and not cause any damage but all it takes is that once and you have a new door stop
