prepare for subbing 102

Hey Guys

Looking into purchasing the the discounted dish package being offered by this site. My question is, is there a blocker or anything else that I can apply to my rom 102 prior to subbing that will allow me to read the card without glitching into it? Trying to avoid looping it once it's subbed. Any other advice prior to subbing I should consider please let me know.

I do not know why you want to read the card it's already been dumped. Also why sub???
If you get the card don't put it in the stream. Or if you must sub to get the card use Activator card with it. You may still need to get into the card though.

Reason for subbing, I would like to have a stable receiver that the kids and especialy wife can watch without any downtime as they can all get on my a**! And after having it subbed I would like to take the subbed image and clone it to alternate receivers with say a PPV tier. I have the receiver/card ready to sub.

Also, Is it true that all dish 921 receivers that are utilizing an external smart card are solely a rom 103? Or are there some running with a 102?
