JTAG question 2700 AVR-X

I think have programed my AVR-x card correctly my only question would be with the tier list I used this list

I am working on a 2700 using version 1.06 for programming and have followed the how to pages.
My IRD has a old software version on it and from what I have read I need to update this for the AVR card to work. So I have Jtagged the IRD and attempted to erase SA5 (three times). Currently my box has not power back up yet since. I went in and read the IRD using Jkeys and got to the point where i erased the SA5 3 times and then I closed Jkeys I dont know if I was needing to do anything else???? I have read on the forumn and dont know if I need to get a differnt TSOP to program in or not. from what I read It should have restreamed by what I did.

Any help would be good I would love to get my plug and play device working.

All you needed to do was turn off the IRD with sat still connected and IRD still plugged in. Also you should give it permission to update without asking, it's in the installation procedure at some point under button 5. Anyway since you erased just let it sit as described above( turn off the IRD with your remote, sat still connected and IRD still plugged in. ) It should update within minutes.

well this IRD has sat over night and no luck yet that is why I think I may have done something wrong... did the steps seem like I went down the correct path????
