Hi there I am reall ynew to this kinda stuff.. I will try to explain what I am trying to do and hopefully someone here can help me.

I had BEV 3100 receivers with atmega 128 cards. I could reprogram them when bev got hit before.. As of right now those receivers are doorstops until I read that you could redo them to run on dishnet.

Ok here is what I am asking..

I will install a dish pointing to the sat at 110 deg

with the recievers
I have the box keys already written on the bottom..

I understand that I have to update my TSOP and I understand that I have to solder the 25 pin connector to my box.

What software do I use to update it and with what file?

after the update I understand that I need to get the update from the sat so I will plug in my receiver and get it..

Onto the atmega I know how to program them but do I find the newest files in the download section??

Also do i really need to hit 110 deg and 119 deg ?? or is 110 good enough?

Any help would be greatly appreciated PM me or just reply here ..

I have downloaded so many guides but they are all so technical..

Thank you all in advance for reading and replying to my post..

You are in the wrong forum.
1/- Go to the ATmega forum.
2/- Read the stickies, they have all the step-by-step instructions you need.
3/- You can flash your receiver with any pre-modded TSOP file you find in the download section, as long as the first 2 or 3 characters of the build config match yours. Otherwise use patch your own TSOP file with the required mod (you find the necessary files in the download section). The TSOP needs to be modded. Do NOT attempt to use your own IRD# & Box Key.
4/ You can use the virgin EEPROM files in the stickies after editing them to contain your build config. Once the TSOP and EEPROM are flashed, your receiver is converted to Dish. The first time that you turn the receiver on after that, make sure you set the receiver to ASK FOR PERMISSION before accepting upgrades, so that your modded TSOP doesn't get inadvertantly ovewritten.
4/- Do not flash your ATmega with the EEPROM & bin files found in the original tomico package (tiers have expired in those). You will find the latest valid pfg files in the ATmega section of the Public Downloads section.

Good luck
