Hi, I have what I was told to be a t5 loader that I bought from testcardworld.com about 5 or 6 years ago for the hu card. I have looked at all of the modding instructions and can't find anything that looks like the one I've got. If anyone has any modding info on this board, all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

I am currently working on the mod for it now. I'm using the general hu schematics and instructions, and last night, it all came together in my head about how it's supposed to go. as soon as I finish my mod, and confirm that it's working, I'll post a how to with detailed instructions and pictures for everyone to use.

I've been looking for a mod for that one too. Havn't cut into it yet though. I was just gonna go by the general written how-to since I can't find any pics. Sure be nice to see a pic of one that is known to work. If anyone has a pic of this mod there's at least a few of us that would love to see it.

I've got my mod completely wired, but I think I messed up the atmel, a couple of years ago, with a bad flash. I've got 3 new atmel chips that I got off of ebay, that should be here Wednesday. When I have everything confirmed working, I will draw up a how-to instruction set. If for some reason, I can't get it going, I will still post the pictures and let someone else take it for what it's worth.

Ok, what the hell. I'm going to post these pictures and whoever want's to take the chance with them can do so. I feel like this is correct according to the general mod instructions with the only question/hesitation being the open gate used on the 74hc00. JT, maby these pictures will give you a jumpstart on your mod with locations of the chips and maby you can check it againest the general mod instructions to determine accuracy.

Here's the link to the general mod instructions

Here's the pictures of my mod.

Good luck, Ron

Please remember that if you decide to use the pictures that I posted, that this mod has not been tested. Use at your own risk, and compare with the schematics to verify for yourself that the connections are indeed correct.

Thanks for the work hairy. I'll look at it sometime soon. Already have two modded loaders, but thought I may as well get this one going too. It was a great machine in the H/HU days.

UPDATE!

My atmel chips came in yesterday. I knew it was a long shot when I ordered them, but I was grasping at straws. It did not work to fix my flashing problem. This problem was evident before I modded the loader, and the new atmel chip did not cure it. I have a cousin that has a loader that I will be getting to perform a mod on, so I guess that my work on this particular loader is done. I hope that someone will take what I started, and make a viable mod out of it.

Good luck all,

Ron
