Couple of quick questions

1. Alright. I am sort of a newbie for ROM programming, so I bought a ROM10 off of somebody (he did the ROM10 to 102 for me as well) and now I want to buy whatever is required to keep it up and running myself. I know it has a modded TSOP and Im not too sure if I need a JTAG or not, and Im assuming I need an ISO programmer.

2. Now the ROM102's from the store, they are open and ready to be programmed... meaning all I need is to pick up one of those and use the ISO programmer? or is there something else that needs to be done? (This is for a different receiver, so I know I don't have to mod the TSOP)

1. You need a jtag to write modded image to the receivers tsop(s)

2. Mili is selling them as unlocked, so I assume all you will need is your 3.68Mhz ISO. Eventually you'll probably want to have your own unlocker though.

1. Why would I need to write a moded image to the receivers TSOP? It already has the modded image since I am running ROM10 to 102 on it right now. I just need an ISO programmer so that I can program the card once again if need be, correct?

wrong, you need to program receiver[ tsop] with with a different modded image for rom 102,[ different ird and bks.than rom10]. to program 102 cam nagra edit1 beta7 is what you would use.[ do not use nagra edit 4.1 or you could loop your 102 cam.]

Alright here is my EXACT setup so maybe this will help better:

I have a 301.10 which I recently got done by somebody for ROM10 to ROM102, so I have the ROM10 which has been converted to ROM102 and the TSOP on the reciever is the modded one so that it will work. Now to re-program the card, all I need is an ISO programmer, correct? or is a JTAG required as well?

I bought another 301.10. I am planning on buying the ROM102 from the store which is unlocked so that all I need is to program it and ready to fly. Im assuming I don't need a JTAG for this or am I wrong?

Sat man is correct. The bin that you will write to the 102 is a public bin that uses the IRD# R0018642028 and the appropriate BKs. You will have to change your TSOP to match the IRD# and BKs. This is assuming you don`t have your own opened 102 with private info.

correct only need iso programmer and nagra edit 4.1. dont need jtag.

to use rom 102 you need iso and nagra edit 1beta7, also need jtag to modify receiver ,as stated ,rom 10-102 and rom 102 are 2 different modds to tsop.
