How and when to use Toggle switch While Vidmoding Dp301.013

I followed a Guide to set up Vidmod for my Dp301. 13 Single Tsop Ird. The Guide doesn't clearly explains when and how to use the Toggle switch to supply 12V to SB 35 pad. Is there any other guide I can follow or someone can just breiefly explain it. I am trying to write Tsop and Eeprom to it. Your help will be Greatly appreciated.

vid on when erasing and writing to tsop. OFF AT ALL OTHER TIMES. make sure when u turn it on, u don't have it plugged in.
