View Full Version : 3900 and 4700 ird's dead?

have 2 ird's 3900 and 4700 that lit up when i first tried to back the up so i could mod them for my rom 10. my j-tag has a switch on top to switch between 2700,5100,6000, and 3100.it works great on my 2700 but like i said when i tried to back up my 3900 and 4700 it took a long time to read it them it said flash codes not recgonized by j-keys now they won't lite up do i need a different jtag ? tried all different versions of j-keys i dont know what to do anymore i have read every forum to no avale.can someone help me.:confused:

That's odd.Never heard of a j-tag like that.Check to see if the jtag pads on the reciever match those of the 2700's or other models.Then choose that setting on your jtag.There's schematics of all ird jtag points in downloads.
You might try different versions of jtag,but those ird's are usually easily read/write with jkeys2.99. Although,4900's can be a PIA.One of the mods here has extensive xperience with 4900's.
You don't always need "lights" to read/write.
You might have to ressurrect them using the program Wall. Also try this. Get wall or wall2.Open Wall,then open jkeys leaving wall open.. you might see something
