Cannot unlock IRD. Using moded bin file. I have tried the menu,6,3 info etc. Tried menu/locks, right 4 times etc. No luck. I loaded eeprom ( 1 moded & 1 virgin) into Winex, went to line 0000001c0 & have all F's all the way across. I must be doing something wrong or there is another way. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Try a program called Wiem32 that will modify your eeprom and unlock it.

Thank you Dave, do you know off hand where it can be downloaded from? I checked the file here but it is not there, I will try google. Once I get it I will give it a try. Thanks for the quick reply.

After you flash a virgin EEPROM file (all FF except for the first 48 bytes) to the EEPROM, the password should be gone. The receiver will still ask for the password when you choose the "Locks" option on the menu, however, just use the right arrow buttons on the remote to bypass the asterisks, then press OK, that will get you past that point.

You can get nice free hex editor at this site:

I`ll upload the file, but may take a while to show up. In the mean time, check at rom10x.cxm (no links allowed).

Bluegold,

What file should i use to program an atmega for a 6000 receiver? I have the modded tsops loaded, but channels are red. Any thoughts?
