redoing my tsop and eprom ,I have a building code eaed and the one I used has eaea, I put in my box keys and receiver #. Idont seem to get any dislay on tv of anything, do I have to redo tsop with an eaed version ?

well it very important that you download a Modded N2 Tsop for your 3100 also you need flash edditor. open edditor locate the Tsop that you downloaded open on advence and change the 4 letters form yor own Tsop like the ones you get on jkeys EAEA. Now change to these 4 letters and save into a personal dump file, after open edditor again and save a virgin EEprom, open the EEprom file and now change the 4 letters on left top line to capital letters the ones from inside the receiver wich I belive will be EAED.

Reprogram the IRD and plug in for 5 minutes with out cable unplug it put cable back on and Vá Lá enjoy you TV.

EAEA is the exact same build as EAED. Not sure what your trying to do, so can't really tell you why your receiver wont boot up. You trying to repair your receiver, run N2, run rom102to10, or what?

Not doing anything to my receiver just replying to jimbbb's concern
it is because when I loaded the modded Tsop on my receiver and change conf. to EAED it didn't work but when I did the EAEA change and on the EEprom changed to EAED that did the trick. That is all I was trying to help.

I have a 301-010 receiver with EAED build sticker inside, and used Penga's files that are EAEA, and had no problems, except for the automatic download of software from the satellite(while I wasn't looking) that put my software at Revision P244,(On system information page) which caused all black screens with the Program Guide. Then I read here from some helpful guy to re-flash to P243 software, and now my Rom 10 to 102 plastic is bringing in all wide open including pay per view. Good luck to all who try!
