Currently I have a dish 500 for 110 & 119 & another dish for 61.5. In my living room I can catch all three sats ( I guess I have a multiswitch installed) and in one bedroom I only have 61.5 and in another bedroom I have the 110 & 119 (that is how I wanted the system setted up!!!).

Now In my living room with a 2800 receiver with a 128 Atmega, I'm having difficulty with poor reception prior to 7PM on any given evening. For example on some of the channels located on 61.5 I will get an error 02 and however on some 110 channels I get the multiswitch malfunction message. so on Sunday at about 4 pm I performed a check switch several times and the most that I got was 119 odd, & both odd & even for 110. After 7 pm, i did another check switch and all sats odd & even appeared and all channels were working fine. On other thing that I noticed is that when 61.5 is not working in my living room, its working perfectly fine in the bedroom unit.

So for all you experts out there, what is the meaning of this??? Should I be upgrading the receiver or should I replace the multiswitch???

All or any of your advice is appreciated!!!!!!

Sunny!!:)

I already had this same problem. I did a check switch 2 days later and it finally detected all 3 satellites, odd and even. I think that it has to do with a bad switch but not too sure.

Same thing again today. Although I haven't done a checkswitch, but at 4:30pm I lost most of 61.5 channels.

There has to be a solution to this problem out there.

I live in Brampton. My first reaction was that the switch might be bad, but is it coincidence that I get full reception after 7:pm??

Thats weird. I take it one is connected directly to the 61 lnb and one through the switch. Other than sunspots ( Just kidding ) Maybe try switching the the 2 61.5 lnb cables on the dish to see if the problem moves or stays on the same ird. May help narrow the cause down to lnb or switch if that is it at least.
