I ahve a 2800 Dish that i was trying to switch over to BEV. After JTAGing and erasing SA5, I tried to write a new EEPROM and it would not. I unplugged amd tried to hook it back up to sat feed and it will not power on. Tried JTAGing again, but I get an "Error reading from IRD (DCU PEEK)"!
Any suggestions?

I think I got it. Must have been a bad program for the no power situation. And I think low power in batteries for the JTAG Error. Recharged batteries and JTAGged fine this morning. Still can't seem to get it to switch over to BEV though, onlly black screen. Any suggestions on this?

It is alot easier to flash the tsop over to bev, Then in the setup menu you can check you siganl strengh on 82 and 91 right away and let it update.
Don't use public ird numbers if you download the tsop bin, Many are blacklisted.

I've heard that it is easy, but I cannot get the receiver to download BEV. Am I only supposed to erase SA5, or is there something else that needs to be done to force the receiver to update?
