501 with p301 what p304 HOW?

I have a 501 with firware p301 and need p304 for avr x to work. How can i force an upgrade without a jtag? Do I have to have the card in or out on power off. Please give detailed info.

I set to update without permission ( card in, I used and atmega or plastic , file bin doesn't matter ) turn off reciever, wait wait wait. look for flashing light come back later and 3.04
or you can force it by erasing
SA60 & SA62(flash2) Just like an ecm repair.
