DIshNet updated 5 recievers' TSOP firmware tonight. As far as the AVR-X cards go the 4900s stopped working. The AVR-X man is working on that angle and will have it solved tomorrow. They just have the 501 and 6000 to go. When they finish with those expect some merde hit the fan.

taking out FTA is more likely. its quite possible bev/charlie could be hitting on FTA every few days

As of this morning I have not seen an update nag for either the 301.010 or the 301.013. The 301.010 is already at P344 and are working fine with version 1.09a.

Is it possible it's just an updated firmware for the 4900? My 1rd was updated by charlie, so I saved the new ird flash (P321 CCJD N) and wrote the old flash (P320 CCJD) back to the ird with all the dt08 info on it. it seems to work fine for now. Perhaps the new flash just needs the dto8 info added and it will stop trying to update? Has anyone tried this or does the new flash negate this option?

It can sometimes take upto 2 weeks before you get nagged for an update, as they so it in a series.

OK..I just used Gen DT08 v 2.3 and changed the info on the P321 ird flash and the 4900 with rom 102 is running currently. All seems ok for now.

My 6000 Dish freeses ever 20 seconds, will the software fix take care of this?

I am not sure. I am using a 4900 with a virgin 102. (No 0A) I had to create my own dt0A patch for the ird and card using my own numbers. Write the new flash to the ird, then take a 3m, apply tiers, apply penga's 22sk blocker with the new new P. and Q. (Byte flopped) and then the dt08 patch. it's still working.

I,m pretty sure you could follow the same process with your 6000 if yoiu're using a 102, although i think you'll need to create session keys instead of dtoa. Ill upload the gendtoa sk 2.3 utility to the file section.

I have a 6000 Dish using AVR-X that freezes ever 20 seconds, will the new software fix take care of that? Using .019 software . I get guide and video.

What software are you using: 1.08, 1.09, or 1.09a? I would like to think you should be using 1.09a and the default keys supplied w/o any changes. It should fix all your problems.

I am using 1.09 amd the default keys supplied for the Dish 6000. I Did try the 1.09a today, still freezing. Is there any other possibility? I will work with the 1.09a again tomorrow. .. thanks

You could substitute "0320 8000" for 0334/03D1 and that should help with the freezing.

I see the Dish web site is saying that there is a new firmware (P3.41, P2.46) for the 301 IRD, but so far I have not gotten any nag for either firmware. The release date is 02/16/06, btw.

Which is for the 301.010 and 301.013? When will they take effect: any thoughts?

The 4900 updated by itself to 321 from 320. I erased the updated flash and wrote the old 320 flash back to the ird. It wasnt long (12 hrs) and charlie took it upon himself to make sure that I indeed had the updated flash again. I modded the new flash and wrote it back to the ird. it's been fine for a while now. (4-5 days). If you want more info on how to do this, then here it is.

102 without OA and 4900 working

These are the steps I took. Hope it helps.

1.) I used my jtag and Jkeys 299; erased the ird flash address (SA 30) three times. NOTE: ONLY ERASE (SA 30) IF YOU HAVE A 4900, 4700, 3900, 3800.
2.) Stream the ird and go have a beer or two . it takes anywhere from 1 to 20 mins for charlie to give you the current flash.
3.) Read the new flash and save it with jkeys. Make a note of your box keys and ird #R00....
4.) Unlock you rom 102. I used an orange modded Nexus, flashed with newd13flash and 9VDC 300ma transformer. Opened WinExplore with the (ROM102_ND13_A0FF-INTERCEPT-autoVCC_20.zip) file. Run the script with switches1 and 6 or 5 down or in the on position.Adjust the pot slowly down until you get a good mix of +-+-+-nrsp+-+-+-nrsp. I found, if you turn the pot very slowly, decreasing the resistance, the Winexplore will stop and say nrsp.Increase the resistance just a bit and restart Winexplore. This should give you a good mix. Go have another beer or two. this could be a while. With dipswitches 1 and 6 on or down the card should pop in 1 to 10 minutes. Don't freak if it takes longer, just have a few more beers. Ive read some stubborn cards take all night to pop. When it does pop you should read blah blah blah intercept installed.
5.) Read the card with N2Edit_Beta7, and save the card image. Press(DAta types) and look down the left column for a (0A-??). I didn't have one so I had to create a dt08. This made me reeeaallly thirsty, so I had a beer.
6.) MAke a folder on Desktop or wherever and call it 4900 dt08. Open (GenDT08_SK_V2_3), Click on (Use Ird RSA), Click on the (Open tsop image) button and open the flash we saved from the ird.
7.) Click on (Cam information), then (Rom 102). A window should open. Point it towards and open the 102 card image we saved earlier with N2Edit_Beta7.
8.)Click (New RSA), Then (Apply RSA). Checkpoint should turn red so clickon the calculate beside it.
9.) Click save keys and save them in the "4900 dt08" folder we made.Press (Calc DT08) and then (Save Patch). Save it in the same folder. Press (Apply RSA), then go to (File) and (Save TSOP image).Save it in the same folder.
10)Download a 3m. I used (clean 3m no blocker tier expire 4-1-06.zip) and found it here (http://www.rom10x.com/forums/attachm...8&d=1136267465)
10)Open up DT-TeirWorks v15.2 and press(wipe standard tier from bin) then select the 3m you downloaded. Then select the tiers you want. Type the zip code, and time zone.Press tier expirey date.( I used the same as the 3m). Press get keys. Press (Set Cam....) and put in your info from the tsop and the original card image we saved when we read the 102. Press (Save and Write...) Press (Create PPV tiers). Press (Wipe ppv...) and select the 3m. In PPV LOW put 65000 and in PPV HIGH put 90000. Press (Gen.PPV string) then (Done)NOTE: these numbers will change as time goes on and its a good idea to keep them tight to avoid being hit with an ECM. You can track these numbers by going to the guide ,then to the PPVs and pressing info. You will see for example(65544)on 502 and(66777) on 532. charlie seems to move this area slightly every week.
11. Press (Patch bin file)and select the 3m. It's time for another beer.
12.) Open Penga's ROM102-BLOCKER-V22sk-AND BACKDOOR PASSWORD with Notepad and at line 8260 type the password in hexidecimal, you wish to use. Dont use the AABBCCDDAABBCCDD.
13.) Go to lines 9290 and 92A0 and put in the P from the RSA doc we saved in the"4900 dt08" folder. Don't forget to byte flop this info.(ie 1A 2B 3C 4D would look like 4D 3C 2B 1A)
14.)Go to lines 92B0 and 92C0 and put in the Q from the RSA doc we saved in the"4900 dt08" folder. Don't forget to byte flop this info.(ie 1A 2B 3C 4D would look like 4D 3C 2B 1A)
15.) Press save.
16.) Open N2Edit_Beta7 and open the modded 3m.
16.) Press (Tools), then (Apply Patch).
17.) Cut and paste this to open up NHL

18.Press (Apply patch)
19.) Press (Tools) then (Apply Patch), (Clear) then copy and paste the modded blocker. Press (Apply Patch)
20.) Press (Tools) then (Apply Patch), (Clear) then copy and paste the the DT08 patch from the "4900 DT08" file. Press (Apply Patch)
21.Press (Write to card)
22 Take your jtag and jkeys , erase the flash 1 and then program the bin file from the "4900 DT08" file to the ird.
23 Insert your card and plug in the ird. Wait 1 to 20 mins for the keys to autoroll, have a beer and watch tv.

The 4900 is indeed down right now, the 301s are fine so get the latest firmware on them and make sure your connections and cable is OK.

I have reporgrammed the card using all method discussed in some of the forum, with no avail. It still set the date of 03/09 for me to replace the card or I'll cease to view hbos and every other movie channels

I have tried the following tier:

Hbo package: 00cc-f800 and 0050-00FA
Please help me with this.

The reason for the nag is the AVRX is based on the rom 101 and will be phased out out 3/09 . You need to get a rom 102 or wait and see if the magic man can get these working as a 102, my understanding is hes been working on a patch so I suggest you wait to hear from him or wait for mili to announces it.......

With a rom 102. Follow the steps i left above and you can't go wrong. You can use your own numbers as well.

how i let my 301.10 reciever get updated ,even if i don't have the new yello card in it because id on't have it but i have the avr-x in it i have it it in the stream, if i leave the avr-x in the reciever is that will allowed it to update to new firmware ,the current one is p 241 I know i need to p244, is that will work for leavi the avr-x plugged in the reciever ,i do'n't have the card ( i alrady did the soldering ) because every time i put the avr-x into the reciever i get the aquairing signal the the mesaage come that the reciever is not authorize

At this point you need firmware P2.44 for your IRD, but then you will need P2.46 which is the new current one. It does not matter that you do not have a card for your IRD: it should request that you take it anyway.

I would suggest that you wait for the new firmware until you determine that your AVR-X supports the newest firmware. Then when you see that it does and you don't get the nag for the new firmware then post back and we will tell you how to get it anyway.

im little new to this ,i been out since the nag1 , simply i alrady have the avr-x ready and the pins solder to the jtag but every time I insert the avr-x into the reciever, i get the inquiring the satlite signal ,then error 129 the card not authroive and to call .from my reading I understand that the reason for this is the firmware i have in my 310.10 reciever is p241 the question to updated i just leave it in the stream without a card or avr-x inserted into the reciever and will take the update please explain slowly .

I do not quite understand as you say you have a 301.010, but your firmware is P241. The correct and current firmware for the 301.010 is P246(I don't believe that the AVR-X will work with that firmware at the moment and only work with the older firmware which is P246).

The 301.013 has a current firmware of version P346 which works with the AVR-X.

The firmware for the 301.010 formerly was P243 (which is working for the AVR-X at this moment) and I don't remember how long ago the firmware was P241 but you need the new firmware.

If you can supply the build for your 301.010 I'm sure someone here can supply the flash for you to get your 301.010 current.

thank you for the reply I was able to force the update to my reciever not my recevier 301.10 .now the software p246 ,but my question , when i insert the avr -x into my reciever and i still get the message 129 showing my reciever and card information and then saying that my reciever is not authorized please call dish network tel---.my question is if i was able to get the video (the inquire satlite and start counting 1-5) then instead if the picture comes , the mesaage 129 show up 1 .the question is if thers problem in my soldering ,can i still be able to inquire the satlite ( the video) please i need help ,where i go now ,is the problem i n the soldering or maybe some where else .
