View Full Version : New AVR-X 2.0.2 released
From the avr-x site:
"Software version 2.0.2 has been released. Includes ROM102 emulation for Dish. BEV2800 updated, tested and working. Dish/Bev 6000 reverted back to old communication and should work.
Dish 301.010 - Fixed bootup error and reverted back to old communication
and should work. Non-autoroll for Dish should not freeze or hang, whereas when autoroll is enabled, some models freeze. BEV autoroll seems to work better than Dish especially on 301.010."
Please get the software here: http://avr-x.com/software/Avr-x-2.02.zip and discuss it here: http://www.dssftp.com/forum/showthread.php?p=353023
Well that is it.

2 updates in 2 days? did mr avr-x come across a supply of dexies? At least the users of this card are finally getting up to speed with other methods of testing. Glad to hear the bev 2700 (there is no bev 2800 - maybe 2.0.3) are working right now.
He must be on drugs or something or ingested a bucket of Extasy.

TO funny. I have to say that my 3100 bev receiver is still working great on the 2.01 software and I was wondering do I need to switch it over to 2.02?

This is probably in being discussed in the wrong place, but I wouldn't break what isn't broken. If your 3100 is working top knotch wait until it don't anymore, by then another update may be out.
Of course if you are a risk taker or are very bored give it a shot. You should be able to go back to 2.0.1 if worse comes to worse.

2.02 seems to be the best working version yet....Programmed my 508 & 301 and have not had the first freeze-up with either one so far...My hat's off to Mr. AVR-X on this version..Good job !!!

I'm glad somone's avr-x is working. Mine's been dead for two days now on my 2700. 2.02 doesn't help either.

Ok, so much for the no freeze-ups but it does seem to be much less often. I'm not complaining.
Autoroll seems not working for BEV. I got black screen last night. It comes back on after I changed the two lines of keys.

How long did you wait? Did you try to re-boot?
It does not behave as what the software description said that "you need to wait for 3 mins for the key to roll." I don't have to wait. After I insert the card after programming, the search signal screen come right after. Then the downloading program screen. I got the channels right away all these are done.
Rebooting does not help.

really need help.
I have been up since last Friday, but yesterday afternoon All I got is black screen
My 3100 BEV was down yesterday afternoon. since then all I get is the black screen. The channel guide opens up fine but no images.
I have re-programmed the AVR-X numerious times to no avail.
I just observed the firmware on my receiver was updated to
537 but it is still running on 102 REV 240
I have tried two Avr-x, non of them works.
same Avr-x works perfect on my dishnet, so the card is not the issue.
I have also used the software version 2.0.2 for the Avr-x non that helped.
I have rebooted the receiver several times too, unplugged and replug it back no show
I really need help, I'm a newbie in this.
thank you.
