Q1. I jut bougt my CS 5000 Platinum and set it up with my existing DN system that I had running previously. I replaced the SW21X and SW21 switches with a 4x1 diseq switch as I'm utilizing a dish 500 for 110 & 119 and another dish for 61.5. My problem is that I get 61.5 (set up as LNB1) and I get 110 (LNB2). Both I get 83% signal & 97% Q. My problem is with the 119 (lnb3) Everytime I do a blind search 119 the system is picking up 110 channels.

In your opinion, is it the diseq switch?? If so, can you name a good brand that will guarantee to work and where should I locate the switch. Currently my switch is located next to the lnb.

Q2. currently when I watch a channel from 110 and then go back to a channel on 61.5, I have to shut the receiver off and on, then I get the 61.5 channels. But going from 61.5 to 110 channels, is no problem.

Your thoughts please!!

Need more info......

1. Are the 110 and 119 lnb's dual output, Legacy lnb's? You have two 4x1 switches, with a coax feed from each lnb going to both 4x1 switches?
2. Are you using the 61.5 on both receivers? Is the 61.5 lnb dual output?
3. One receiver is a dishnet and one is FTA? Did you run check switch on the dishnet receiver? Does the dishnet receiver get all 3 sats ok?

Sorry I guess I should have been more clearer with what I have and how I have set things up.

Dishes: 2 -- One dish is for 61.5 alone but I can hook up 2 receivers (i beleive that this is referred as dual lnb)
-- 2nd dish is dish 500 (110 & 119) with 2 eyes and one fat arm holding the eyes and 4 cable wires connected.

Set up: 3 in my house: bedroom 1, bedroom 2 and livingroom

bedroom 1: receives 110 & 119 via SW21 switch and a DN2700 with an 128 Atmega card (all is fine here)

Bedroom 2: receives only 61.5 using a DN2700 with an 128 Atmega Card (all is fine here too)

Living Room: Coolsat 5000 Platinum. 61.5/110/119 via 4x1 diseq switch (here is where the problem is as i stated in my original request.)

I hope this clears things up.

thanx.

Still not sure what the lnb's are for 110 and 119, are they like the attachment or they 2 seperate lnb's?

thanx for the picture. My set up looks exactly like that!!! And there are 4 cables coming out of the arm attached to the LNB.

That is a Legacy quad, you can run 4 receivers on 110 and 119 with this setup, you would run a single coax from one of the outputs for the lnb to each receiver no sw-21 switch needed...

You cannot run a single coax from this lnb to a external switch like a sw-21 or 4x1 switch. You must run a coax from the 119 and 110 sides of the lnb to the 4x1 switch.

Run a single coax no external switchs to the DN 2700 run check switch, this sould give you 110 and 119......

Run a coax from the 119 side...and a coax from the 110 side of the lnb, to the 4x1 switch.....connect 119 to input 1 and the 110 to input 2 of the 4x1 switch.....then run a single coax from the 61.5 and connect it to input 3 of the 4x1 switch...this should give you all three sat on the 5000....set up the lnb's in the menu to use legacy lnb, and match the diseqc setting to the same order as they are connected to the switch....119=1, 110=2,61.5=3

You can leave the 2700 using the 61.5 only the way it is now.
